Kundalini & Tantra

Lynda Nguyen

Kundalini Yoga

Lynda Nguyen (Mahan Jiwan Kaur) was certified as a 220hr YA Kundalini Yoga Teacher in San Francisco CA, at the Guru Ram Das Ashram. Kundalini Yoga is a science of awareness. To cultivate awareness we use exercise and meditation. Students do not need extraordinary strength or flexibility to benefit from Kundalini Yoga. Through Kundalini Yoga, one will expand mentally physically, spiritually. It is a potent combination of work on the nervous system, the glandular system and the immune system. Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, has helped many deal with stress and find relief from many related conditions. Just one class creates powerful lasting effects. Regular practice opens up vast possibilities for relaxation, health and elevation. Kundalini Yoga uses kriya, kriya in yoga is a sequence of postures, breath, and sound, that are integrated together to allow the manifestation of a particular state.

When you do a kundalini kriya the result of its repetition is the access to, and mastery of a particular, predictable and stable state – a facet of your awareness. Lynda Nguyen occasionally teaches Sunday 9:30AM classes at the Guru Ram Das Ashram in San Francisco, CA. She integrates Kundalini Yoga breathwork, sitting postures, and healing work into her workshops and sessions for a grounded and full mind, body, and spirit embodiment.

Lynda Nguyen received her Tantra/Primal Yoga Teacher 200hr YA approved hours in Los Angeles, CA. During her studies, she traveled to India to visit the ancient, sacred, and erotic Tantric Temples in Khajuraho. Through extensive Women’s Shakti Goddess trainings, and trainings through the Sri Vidya lineage (under masterful teachers), Lynda has been activated with an increased awareness through her senses, feminine sensuality, as well as a renewed and profound connection to her primal fire. Shakti Tantra and Goddess power teaches us that our connection with the divine is found through our senses. With the balance of feminine divine energy, we accept the human experience for what it is. The Tantric does not believe that human is separate from God. “That which is above is the same as that which is below… Macrocosmos is the same as microcosmos. The Universe is the same as God, God is the same as man, man is the same as the cell, the cell is the same as… and so on, ad infinitum.”

The purpose of Tantric rituals is to unite the microcosm with macrocosm, to join God, with human consciousness. The subject and object becomes one. The definition of Yoga is “union”. Tantra means “technique” or “to weave”. Power and union is achieved through focus of the will, use of Yantras (visualizations), and Mantras (vibratory language). A lead trainer, in the women’s sensuality movement, Lynda supports women (and men) with their confidence, sexual healing, and awakening.
